First Post!

Hmm.. What to say in this, my first post? I guess I should establish that I'm going to use this blog to post my poems and stories for your criticism. I've never done anything like this before. I usually keep my written stuff private. Time for that to end. So, umm, first poem. Here goes *holds breath, jumps int abyss*

Livin' lovin' laughin' life,
Getting rid of all the strife,
Making memories good and bad,
Rememberin' stuff, happy and sad.

I look at the faces sittin' 'round me,
All spillin out their memory
Trusting each other,
Going out on a limb,
Each sharing a little, of herself or him.

To people before who we barely did know,
To friends of ours who've said they know,
We gave more of ourselves than we ever thought we had,
As we traversed the memories,
Happy and sad.

While livin' and lovin' and laughin' our life,
We learned from each other,
That through all the strife,
It helps to talk,
So give a listening ear,
Even if it's something you don't want to hear
Listen to them for they've listened to you,
And know that Rememberin' Stuff is what we all do.
