LA VIE BOHEME

I want to share my written works with people who will give both praise and constructive criticism. I'm also going to be updating my friends and family, in short, everyone I love, on what my life is like abroad. Once I leave that is.

Here I Am!

Yes! At last! I have started my journey to Vietnam. After a fairly dull flight from Dulles to LA, I have re-united with my friends. Pete and my most beloved Lonny were waiting for me at Baggage claim. It was so good to hug them after all these months. LA is, well, LA. The armpit of our oh so lovely nation. After breathing in car and bus fumes for a long time, we decided to hell with waiting for a bus and just walked to the hotel, catching a taxi about halfway there.

Upon entering the hotel room, I was greeted by the rest of my friends, Anne, Quest, Soleil (pronounced SO-lay) and Kenai. I was soooooo glad to see and hug them all. After two rousing games of Simpsons Uno (one of whichI won) we are just about ready for bed. I'll probably do some posts that are longer, but tonight, I'm tired and I want to spend my time with the friends I haven't seen in nearly a year!
Love and bye for now,
Hillary

Holy Hole

You will not believe this. Or maybe you will, I don't know. This is major breaking news and it was also slightly traumatizing. Here goes.

Yester day in school....are you ready for this?....ok....I had a HOLE in my PANTS!! Brown corduroys. Agh. My friend told me 5th period Fifth! I walked around the first half of the day with a friggin HOLE IN MY PANTS with my TURQUOISE UNDERWEAR sticking out. Yeah, fun stuff man. Fun stuff. So yeah, a laugh at my expense. Har-de-har-har.

So now the question of the hour is....can corduroys be patched? Is that socially acceptable? Or frowned upon by the people of the world? Give me advice!
